Xilisoft Audio Converter is a capable audio converter that converts a wide range of popular audio formats, such as MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, FLAC, OGG, APE, from one format to another. The conversion tool can also extract audio from video files in the AVI, MPEG, WMV, MP4, FLV, MKV, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, AVCHD formats, including high-definition (HD) videos. The audio converter comes with enhanced compatibility for multi-core processors and utilizes multi-threading to guarantee a high-speed conversion with excellent quality.

The streamlined interface makes it for any user a piece of cake to convert between different audio formats. After adding files to the conversion list you need to select an output profile at the bottom of the main window. The converter provides fifteen pre-defined output profiles to convert audio easily. Advanced users have a possibility to adjust various settings, such as audio quality and channels, audio codecs, volume and bitrate, to customize the size and quality of output files. The customized profiles can be saved for future use. The tool supports ID3 v2 tags and allows to add or edit meta information, lyrics, attach covers.

The integrated media player allows to pre-listen or preview original and output files and define the start time for the fragment to be converted in case you want to process only part of the file. You can set the start time and duration in the 'Advanced settings' window in order to clip the file. You can also split audio files by file size or time length, if your source files are too large to transfer to your portable device. Additionally the converter allows to apply audio effects, such as fade in or fade out, normalize, band pass, chorus, flanger, and echo.

The converter supports batch conversion and can convert multiple files with different output settings. The program also allows you adding multiple profiles to one original file, thus you can output several files from one file in one session.
