The "Add media" button allows you to scan your disks for videos, audio files (music and audio books), e-books in one step. Medianizer will collect information about the files, extract various details, download additional information from the internet. For movies, such information as covers, posters, shots from the movies, backdrops, description, cast & crew, etc. can be downloaded. Medianizer supports various sources of information in many languages.
Besides files, you can add any other types of media: Blu-rays, DVDs, VHS, paper books, vinyl records, and more.
In Medianizer, you can easily sort and search items, create your own filters and sorting rules, export and print reports, view statistics. Information about people is also available: filmography, bibliography, discography, biography, photos, and other details.
Information from the database can be used for other devices. For example, Medianizer is capable of creating illustrated movie and music catalogs for popular hardware media players like Dune HD, Popcorn Hour A-400, and some others. Having an e-reader device like Amazon Kindle or Barnes & Noble's Nook, select books in Medianizer and copy them to your e-reader directly from the program.
The program is highly customizable and can be easily adjusted to your needs. Plugins provide even more power. For example, Medianizer includes a plugin that allows to rename video files using information from your database. Thus, you can specify a pattern and rename all your videos to the desired format in just a few clicks.
