Fast CD Ripper 2.0

Fast CD Ripper is a free tool to convert audio CD tracks to such compressed audio formats as WMA, OGG and MP3, and to uncompressed or lossless audio formats: WAV, APE, FLAC. The CD ripper delivers excellent quality, as it implements the most modern and fast audio codecs and supports WMA 9 format internally, uses fast LAME encoder 3.93, Vorbis SDK updates and Monkey's Audio SDK. The CD grabber offers an easy-to-use interface with large buttons in the left toolbar for quick access to the main functions. In the track list, you can see all the tracks from your Audio CD and some information about them (time, output format, status). You can mark and unmark tracks for grabbing. In the dialog located at the bottom of main window, you can change the output format of the selected tracks, and specify an output folder. The tool allows adjusting various settings to customize the way it rips CD to MP3 or to any other supported format, and to fine-tune quality and size of the output files. In the General settings, you have an option to activate jitter correction to compensate reading errors, and CDDB option to retrieve information about your audio CD disc, such as album's and artist's name, track's names, etc. from the internet music database. The 'cut out from the track' feature allows eliminating silence in the beginning or at the end of a track. The ripped files can be automatically added to a WinAmp playlist.

The program supports ID3 tags and allows editing tag information about tracks (title, artist, album, year, etc.) and adding comments. ID3 tags can be used to generate filenames and a structure of folders. A simple built-in player is there to allow pre-listening separate tracks before ripping.
