SFX Machine RT for Macintosh is an audio multi-effect plug-in to create real-time audio effects. It can be used for sound design in radio production, TV shows, feature films, CDs, and video games. SFX Machine RT includes about three hundred of presets, from typical effects like tremolo and triggered wah to the more unusual (megaphone and vinyl noise simulations), to the totally unique (UFO Descending or Theremin emulator).

SFX Machine RT is driven by a powerful modular synthesis engine. But the user interface stays simple and streamlined, allowing users to select and modify presets with just a few mouse clicks. The program window of the audio plug-in is divided into two parts, with a list of presets organized into 21 categories on the left, and sliders controls to adjust the parameters of the active preset on the right. Descriptions of the sliders and the preset appear at the bottom. Each effect has up to six parameters that are adjustable using onscreen sliders or by entering the desired Min and Max values in the fields above and below. Your changes may be saved either in the standard AU/VST preset file format, or (in some plug-in hosts) simply by saving a song or project file together with all the settings of all plug-ins that are being used.

SFX Machine RT provides full MIDI parameter control for automated preset modification, using a simple MIDI Learn system. This system allows you assigning any MIDI CC to a parameter by simply Control-clicking and sending a message from your preferred controller. Any number of sliders can be automated simultaneously.
