Melomania is a multi-functional tool to catalogue and manage your music collection. The music collector program supports lots of media formats: from vinyl discs to MP3, M4A, WMA, OGG, APE, FLAC, and WAV.

The main program window is designed similar to Windows Explorer and offers object trees for easier navigation with the help of its Navigator tool. Navigator allows you switching between objects, add new ones, and edit existing. There are 4 viewing modes. The Albums mode displays information about the albums in your collection, which you can edit here. Using this mode, you can play your albums or selected tracks, get album info from FreeDB, add tracks to Favorites, create playlists, copy tracks to local folders, etc. Your music database can be grouped by genre, release year, country, etc. which will allow you to view your music collection from a new perspective. The Filters mode shows all customized filters with which you can get a set of tracks that correspond to the specified conditions. The Favorites mode is intended for managing track compilations of your favorite titles. In the Storage Media mode you can define storing location for each medium, which will make its search easy and keep information about lent media.

Media scanner of this music organizer is used to catalogue tracks by scanning audio CDs and your local drives. Its manual mode is helpful for adding information about records on non-digital media. Media Scanner can extract information about artist name, album title, etc. from file tags. If any information is missing, Internet Finder will search for it on Amazon.com and All Music Guide and save to your music database together with the album cover. No typing is really required while using this music collection software. The tool provides different search options: quick and advanced and can search for a music item by any part of its name.

The music collection manager offers lots of additional features, such as custom ratings, customized views, statistics and predefined printing reports, and others.
