Fast Audio Converter is a versatile digital tool to convert music files. It allows to convert between most of the popular audio formats, including MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, AAC, AC-3, AIFF, ALAC, FLAC. It also knows how to extract audio tracks from videos in AVI, WMV, ASF, MKV, FLV, MPEG, MP4, etc. and save them to any of the above mentioned formats. The audio converter implements the most modern and fast audio codecs to ensure good conversion speed and the best possible quality of output files. Besides, it uses all cores of the processor and converts without a temporary WAV file, which also contributes to quicker processing and saves your disk space.

The application interface is simple and easy to go around with even for inexperienced users. The center pane holds all the audio files to be converted. In the conversion list, you can view file size, duration, tags, and status. Beneath the center pane, a simple tag editor is present. The MP3 encoder supports ID3 Tag v2 and transfers tag fields from one format to another. You can change or add such information about audio files like title, artist, album, etc. in the tag editor. The ID3 tags can be used to generate output filenames by creating customized rules. There is also a built-in batch audio converter to process multiple files simultaneously and increase performance to save your time. The conversion settings (output settings, tags) can be easily changed after the files have been added to the batch queue. You can also enable adding of the converted files to the general iTunes Music playlist or specify another playlist. Advanced users may adjust channels, bitrate and sample rate for desired results.
