MagicScore Maestro is a music notation software to preserve your musical ideas in the form of professional-quality sheet music and compose your own music or arrangements easily.

It offers a number of ways to enter notes: in the step-mode with your mouse, with the virtual piano or the computer's keyboard. The virtual piano allows you add a note and its duration with a single click. Move the cursor up or down over the note to fine-tune it. You can see which keys to press on a special map when in the keyboard mode. You can even use the customizable note layout to expand your creativity. Quick navigation is possible due to a number of hot keys that let you switch between the modes and to add symbols to the music score easily. By using musical terms from the expressions palette you can change tempo and velocity. The program reads the changes and alters the playback automatically.

One of the features that make this program special is the long list of musical instruments with drums among them. A MIDI keyboard can be connected for composing music in real- and step-time. The step-time notation offers more professional and "human" results as it allows editing velocity, duration and other MIDI information manually. You can edit notes you added simply by dragging them to a new position. To add musical expressions or tie notes together you should select the symbol from the symbol palette and set it to the appropriate location on the staff with a mouse click. You can save your pieces in different formats (MusicXML, MIDI or Karaoke files) or convert the sheet music to MP3.You can also import and edit score created with other music notation editors.
